ABCYA is a favorite website of our students. The FREE online activities are designed by grade level and introduce basic computer schools through age appropriate academic lessons!
Currently, this program is not accessible Brainpop and Brainpopjr are wonderful resources for teachers and students alike! These sites offer hundreds of animated educational videos across a wide variety of topics to help students learn through interactive activities. When it comes to reliable websites for student early learning, STARFALL is the staple that is tried and true! This website offers both free and fee-based activities for phonics, reading/langauge arts that is engaging for young children to use their natural curiosity to help enhance learning.
Dance Mat Typing is a free online site that teaches young children to touch type using the home-position method. The lessons are broken down into 4 levels of play with each divided into 3 stages for gradual advancement as students learn. This is the program that we use in Computer Class for students to begin exploring the home position. With only 50 minutes of Computer Class each week, students should practice at home to gain the most optimal benefit of keyboarding correctly.
